There is no Palestine, and has not been for over 60 years. One could just as well reference the Soviet Union, or Rhodesia.

Errr the region has been called Palestine for a long time. It would be the same as arguing the South does not exist in the US.

That doesn't mean it was an actual state because it wasn't and isn't.

So should we then clear the whole of Alsace, for example? Alsace never was a state but it has been claimed by the French and the Germans over and over again. So please do tell, the Alsatians have no right to the land, because it never was a state?

That is such a tired and bogus argument. People do NOT need a state to share a common culture along with values. The Palestinians have been and are native to Palestine, whether it ever was a stae or not. I am fairly certain the Kurds would agree.

Right to the land has nothing to do with right to the state. Alsace still is not a state.

Well, maybe if they stop trying to blow up every Israeli in sight, they'll get a chance to talk about it. But not right now. First, they need to get civilized and I'm not just talking about Israel. I'm surprised that you don't get all worked up about honor killings or the indoctrination of children to kill themselves blowing up Jews. Maybe to you, these fanatics can do no wrong. Why don't you try living there? Sounds like an idylic existence. Just don't talk to the "wrong" people.

You are using this kind of generalization to score a cheap point. As I have pointed out many times, I am not a fan of Hamas, Hamas is just as guilty as the Israeli government. However, I believe it is wrong to evict people of their property in order to increase the size of state and the area of influence. This is exactly what Israel is currently doing by increasing the number and size of its settlements. What exactly do you expect the Palestinians to do, say thank you for the way they have been treated for the past 60 years?
